Beruflicher Werdegang

I graduated with BA Joint hons Russian in French in 1994 and have many years' experience using languages in a wide range of fields from education to export. In 2008 I studied translation at City University, London and subsequently gained the Institute of Linguists' Diploma in Translation, with a distinction in the literature paper. I then went on to complete an MA in Translation Studies at the University of Portsmouth, and chose to write my dissertation on the translation of children's literature. I now work as a freelance translator, working from Russian and French into my native English. I specialise in the translation of literary and religious texts which require the sensitivity and understanding of a human translator who is both an empathetic reader and a skilled writer. To date I have had the pleasure of translating several books on religion and numerous literary works, and I look forward to many more translation adventures in the future.
