Hello, and welcome to my profile. My name is Marika, and I've been working as a freelance translator and linguist since 2011, translating from English and French into Italian, my native language.

Over the years, I've come to specialise in a few areas that I genuinely love: marketing and transcreation, software and IT localisation, and medical translation. What ties them together is a simple belief — that a good translation should never feel like one. When I work on a text, I'm not just swapping words from one language to another; I'm asking myself how the author would have written it had Italian been their own language. The meaning stays faithful, the voice stays alive, and nothing gets lost on the way across.
