The golden light filtered through the prisms onto the strands of a girl’s hair. Chloe imagined heart shaped balloons floating through the garden, outside. Cupid beckoned to her. She recognised his alabaster beauty under the curls, in the distance, and the vague chords of music lulled Chloe and the other students into a peaceful half sleep upon the lawns. Imogen passed a plate of sandwiches, and smiled. The students were happy. It was a sumptuous February day. Her summer dreaming was interrupted by a knock at the solid oak door. Professor Blakely walked over to it, opened it slightly, and spoke for a few minutes to a young student, outside, they finished talking, and the student handed him a note which looked like it had come from the office. Professor Blakely appeared strained. Chloe looked around at the other students. Their faces seemed blank. Why did she feel
